Joint Freeing Series
Our bones come together at the joints but we don’t always move our joints in their range of motion everyday. In honor of our joints, I’m sharing a yoga practice called The Joint Freeing Series. It is one of my favorite practices because it builds awareness of the joints and muscles; relieves joint pain and stiffness; and increases circulation throughout the body. I use the series when I have a headache; when I’m feeling low energy; and when I feel out of sorts in my body. The whole sequence is done on the floor, consists of 21 poses, and takes about 30 minutes. The only thing you might need is a pillow or blanket to prop up your hips. The practice was formulated by Mukunda Tom Stiles and is a practice I go back to again and again. If you are in need of modifications, please reach out.
